Fees and Investments
This page outlines the clear, transparent fees for therapeutic play at The Symbols Studio. Depending on who is arranging and funding the therapy, funding comes directly from either a parent or a school—never both. Because families and schools have very different needs (parents paying for an individual child versus schools allocating budgets for multiple pupils), the options below are split into two separate sections to help you find the exact plan that applies to you.
Section A: Parents and Families (Private Provision)
For parents and families paying privately, services are structured into a three-part milestone plan. This staged approach allows us to carefully prepare, deliver consistent weekly care, and end therapy thoughtfully while keeping costs predictable and manageable.
Milestone 1 ~
Assessment Phase

Your initial consultation gives us dedicated time to explore your child’s world and history together. Using these insights, I thoughtfully prepare the studio space ahead of time—ensuring it feels safe, welcoming, and perfectly suited to help your child feel comfortable from day one.
Milestone 2~
Weekly Play Therapy Sessions
~£65 per session, payable in 4 monthy installments of £260
16 consistent, 40-minute weekly studio sessions where your child can safely explore, process, and express their emotions through therapeutic play. To keep you connected and supported throughout the journey, we’ll also hold regular parent check-ins to reflect on their progress both at home and in the studio.
Milestone 3~
Discharge & Final Report
~£80
A dedicated end-of-therapy parent meeting where we celebrate your child’s growth, review their progress, and reflect on their journey. You’ll receive a comprehensive written summary along with tailored, practical recommendations to help you continue supporting their emotional well-being at home and school.
Section B: For Schools & Educational Settings (Commissioned Provision)
I partner directly with schools, SENCOs, and local authorities to deliver flexible, trauma-informed play therapy that fits your setting's needs and budget. Whether you require dedicated full- or half-day blocks, small group provision, or targeted individual student places, all options offer transparent pricing and structured reporting to maximize your SEN/Pupil Premium allocation.

Half-Day Studio / On-Site Provision ~£210
• Includes up to 3 individual student sessions.
• Ideal for targeted support within school timetable blocks or dedicated studio slots.

Individual & Multi-Referral Session Rates

Standard Individual Session Rate: £65 per session (for your first 2 referred students)

Multi-Referral Discount Rate: £55 per session (for your 3rd subsequent referral and onward — saves £10 per session)

Assessments, Consultation & Reporting (Standalone Charges)

Initial Consultation / Intake Phase: £225
(Applies to baseline consultations conducted outside of booked full/half-day packages).

End-of-Service / Discharge Reports: £80 per report
(Detailed written clinical summary including therapeutic themes and ongoing recommendations for school/EHCP support). End review meetings are covered within this cost.

Full-Day Studio / On-Site Provision ~£350
• Includes up to 5 individual student sessions OR 4 individual sessions + 1 small group session.
• Maximizes therapeutic impact and capacity across your school day.

Group sessions~minimum of 3 chidlren, maximum of 4 children

Standard Group Session Rate: £45 per child. Group total would be between £135-£180 (dependent on amount of children within group).

Group sessions range from 6-10 sessions only, at a fixed block agreed upon between myself and referrer based upon need.
